  1. Love the chalkboards on the jars. Nearly everything in my kitchen is in Ball jars, too… and I have a problem. I have Hard Wheat Berries, Soft Wheat Berries and Spelt Berries – and didn’t label them. Now I can’t tell them apart!!! I *think* I know which is which, but I’m not 100% sure. So silly of me. The chalkboard paint is a fab idea! Between you and Kath, I might just have to do that, asap. 🙂

I make a variation of those English muffins just about every week. I made a triple batch last time, to freeze. They are awesome.
How did you like using the whole wheat? I thought that just plain whole wheat (actually I have White Whole Wheat flour) alone left a lot to be desired. The spelt adds something that I can’t put my finger on. Half spelt and half whole wheat works though, but I still think all spelt is the best. I just haven’t yet found an affordable spelt flour source. And the way we go through these… wow. So delicious.

    • I agree, the spelt muffins were much tastier but I didn’t have any on hand. I hear you with the wheat berry mix-ups! Get yourself some chalkboard paint. I used to use masking tape and pen but the chalkboard is more fun and I had some paint leftover.

  2. I am in the midst of my own chalkboard project — I love your jars.
Mmm, I want to make english muffins. I want to start making a lot more of our bread foods.

  3. I actually just posted on my ExerciseTV kick! I do them online and have been doing 3 of the shorter workouts to make a 30 – 45 minute total workout! I love them and that I can do kick boxing, yoga and weights with instruction, in my living room.

  4. I love the chalkboard paint idea! I store tons of stuff in ball jars in the kitchen and I don’t label anything usually. I’m definitely going to do this. Thanks!

Faith! I am loving your blog! 🙂 Thank you for your healthy insight and ideas. It gives me courage to get at it and do what is right for me….
Also, the MORE veggies, the BETTER! I totally want a bite (…or ten) or your fritta! Have a happy day, Faith!

Weekend kitchens treats here at your home place included cooking blueberry/ww/cornmeal pancakes with your niece and nephew on Sat., then wheat berry ww bagels and onion souffle on Sunday. Great idea about the chalk, rather than just marker or sticky labels. See you soon…

  7. Those chalkboard jars are genius. I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure that I’m going to have to steal that idea 😉 I’ll give you credit of course – which I guess would mean that I’m not really “stealing” it after all! Oh, and your photo of the red quinoa sprouts is fantastic!
