Say YES

I’m saying YES to…

…breaking old habits that no longer serve me.

…Summer’s spontaneity.

…sharing my garden goods with the critters.

…grabbing any opportunity to see live music, get out of town, or otherwise pretend like I’m on Summer vacation.

…savoring the food of the season, I can’t get enough tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, or basil!

…letting go of formal exercise without worrying that my body will rebel.

…drinking cold, white wine any day of the week just because it sounds like a good idea.

…staying up too late and waking up too early, Summer is energizing!

…paying more attention to my appetite and less attention to the clock.

…challenging myself to find new ways to move, dance, dream, and live.

What’s on your ‘yes’ list today?

    i like this a lot. let’s see…i’m saying yes today…to
…a day curled up with my book. …feeding my body what it asks for, without judgement. …jumping on the chance to climb outside when the skies are clear (this weekend, not today). …playing with my creativity in writing, sketching, & photographing. …allowing myself to receive bodywork instead of only giving. …drinking a whiskey cocktail.

Love this blog post. Today I’m saying yes to some quiet time without the Internet or mobile devices. After I post this comment, that is. ;-)

I saw yes to art and literature and poetry slam and new video and to community at the first annual Lewisburg Literary Festival, and to seeing you there this evening.
