Rolling Muscles
Oh how I was looking forward to my hot oats this morning. Sadly, all I found in the oat jar was crumbs. 🙁
So instead, a savory breakfast it was.
I still missed the oats but this hit the spot and carried me through an awesome cardio workout at the gym.
45 minutes of cardio intervals left me a red-faced and sweaty mess, just the way I like to be at the end of a workout!
The snow showers of the morning have given way to sunshine and the rest of my day will be spent at the clinic, tending to patients and painting.
Speaking of painting, yesterday I kept thinking how sore my triceps and lats were from Wednesday morning Pilates session. It wasn’t until this morning that it occurred to me that the soreness was only on the right-my painting arm! 4 hours of pressing and pulling that roller up and down on Wednesday afternoon turned out to be quite a workout! And today I get to do it again! I wonder if I can roll left-handed to even things out a bit…
My carrots are delicious! I didn’t even wait until the 12 hour marinating period was done before chomping through half a jar. Nom, nom.
They aren’t as rosemary-ie as I had hoped but next time they will be. And by next time I mean I’ll be making another batch tomorrow.
I will leave you with these words from the late, the great, health guru Jack Lalanne
“How do you build your bank account? By putting something in it everyday. Your health account is no different. What I do today, I am wearing tomorrow. If I put inferior foods in my body today, I’m going to be inferior tomorrow, it’s that simple.” -Jack LaLanne
The man was a visionary. What now seems old-fashioned was ground-breaking at one time. Check out this video of The Jack LaLanne Show from 1959!
