Gracefulfitness

My gracefulfitness is listening to my body and giving it what it asks for.   My body regularly requests rest, exercise, food, chocolate, fresh air, mediation, or sleep.

My gracefulfitness is accepting those aspects of myself that I can’t change and practicing gratitude for my strengths; physical and mental.

My gracefulfitness is learning from experience.  Turns out four runs a week is too much for me to do regularly these days.  Good to know.  Moving on.

My gracefulfitness is recognizing that my body is different day to day, week to week, month to month.

My gracefulfitness is eating for nourishment and pleasure!

My gracefulfitness is trying to achieve balance between the physical, mental, and emotional me’s-and savoring it when I do achieve it!

What’s your gracefulfitness?

  1. I love this post! It is so easy to forget to listen to our bodies when we strive for fitness. Life is a balancing act and I love that you show this on your blog.

My gracefulfitness is realizing when I can’t push myself any farther, give my mind and body a break and not feel bad about it!

    Hi Faith,
I have been reading your blog for some time but have yet to comment. I have been meaning to tell you how much I appreciate Gracefulfitness and the woman behind it. Your words of wisdom and insight encourage me. Your gardening, homemaking, fitness and recipe posts all inspire me. I have really come to admire you and the down to earth quality you infuse into your blog. Thanks so much for writing and putting yourself out there!

      Chantel,
Wow, thank you for such kind words! I intend with every post to be honest and let myself come through but it is very hard to tell from the inside how that is going to be perceived. I really appreciate knowing that what I write about resonates with you, thanks again for letting me know!
      Faith
