  1. It was an honor to be a part of this Peruvian celebration. It was not just a feast for the belly, but a feast for the eyes. Each unique dish was a bountiful display of color, texture, and flavor. I would be hard pressed to pick a dish that was my favorite. We loved every bite!

  3. Ya know I have never had Peruvian food or have ever even thought of trying it. After seeing this I think I would. Everything is so fresh, bright and colorful! Just looks so delicious!

Congrats on the 24 x 24, you did a great job!

Great recipes and photos! I am married to a Peruvian foodie and have travelled to Lima quite a bit. I love the food there, too. I just have to ask what your favorite restaurant in Lima was. My current favorites are Fiesta and Mercado. Salud!

      Hi Sarah,
Honestly my favorite restaurants are the hole-in-the-wall lunch spots. I loved eating in the courtyard at Madre Natura (if you don’t know it, it’s in Miraflores, right off of Comendante Espinar, there’s a health food store in front. Its a fantastic spot!!). There is a great, no name, 7 soles menu just off of Parque Kennedy. I also loved the giant salad with smoked salmon at San Antonio. For ceviche we would go to a place on La Mar (not the restaurant La Mar but just across the street from it). We were living super low budget while there so although everything is less than here, we didn’t eat nice dinners out very often.
      Thanks for getting in touch!
