Today’s Health Activist Writer’s Challenge Month assignment is to pin three items that relate to my health path.
Like many things related to technology, I’m late to the party; I just joined Pinterest last week!! (Still holding out for a smart phone but it’s only a matter of time…)
We are about to move our kitchen into what is currently the downstairs guestroom. I quickly became obsessed with researching kitchen layouts and designs and suddenly it clicked, “I need Pinterest!”. What a fun timesuck. My kitchen is totally (virtually) awesome, now we just need to bust out a few walls.
You can check out my HAWMC board here but I decided not to post the pins here directly because it’s really difficult to find the original source for some items on Pinterest (#fail).
I did find the credits for the following two quotes, which I love for their simplicity and good sense.
“I have decided to be happy because it’s good for my health.” ~Voltaire
What simple statement do you relate to about health? My personal motto is “if you know what’s good for you, do it”. We all have an innate understanding about what is good for us; if we’re tired we need to sleep, if we’re hungry we need to eat but not to excess, exercise is healthy but we must practice body awareness to avoid injury.
Both of these quotes are excellent.
What has happened since this grew?
i just started following you on pinterest. i just love pinning and now i am into instagram too-oh boy. love your comment about how you inherently know what is good for you 🙂
I’m holding out on instagram (which you probably need a smart phone for anyway…) but I’m sure I’ll jump on board at some point!
