  1. Ahhhhhhhhh! Jealous!! Kevin and I go backpacking every Memorial Day weekend… except this one. I don’t think a heavy pack strapped around my bun in the oven would work very well 🙁

Looks like an amazing hike! I can’t wait to get back up in the Virginia mountains!

  2. Sounds like a great hike! Thanks for sharing it. I have spent a lot of time in a tent, but usually car camping. My favorite camping adventure thus far was a 1500 mile dual sport motorcycle loop of the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A friend and I loaded up our bikes with everything we needed (including bike tools/parts) and traveled only dirt roads and a lot of tiny, winding, remote snowmobile trails. A lot of days were spent without seeing another soul until we got close to a town for fuel. There’s something satisfying about being self-sufficient with just what you carry… Oh, and Happy Birthday!

      Wow, that does sound epic.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, it’s still May, which means I’m still celebrating!

Awesome hike. I usually spend 5 days on the AT , hiking in northern Georgia and North Carolina with a group of friends. We travel from Florida each October to hike in the fall foliage. Most amazing time. I was unable to attend go this past year. I missed it so much. Glad you got to go!
