By popular request, here’s an update on the kitchen renovation!
April.
May.
June!!!
It’s so beautiful, I’m totally in love.
We’ve hired a little bit of help and had some awesome friends pitch in but mostly Tate has been busting ass.
I haven’t been super useful but I did a lot of the painting, cabinet ordering, and executive decision making.
We should be moving appliances over from the old kitchen within a week or two and then it’s on. 🙂
The process hasn’t been as irritating or stressful as I’d feared. Â Yes, the house is kind of a disaster and several layers of dust have settled on every surface but I don’t really care like I thought I would. Â Maybe I’m just distracted by the garden and summertime fun but I think I’ve just chilled out over the last several years.
Don’t get me wrong, I will be thrilled to have the kitchen finished.  I’ve never had a nice kitchen as an adult, I’ve always compromised for location or cheap rent or just out of straight up desperation.
Once we move into the new space the work won’t be done, there’s still the old kitchen to renovate! I’m looking forward to this though, it’s fun to see spaces transform and open up.  We might just get carried away and keep knocking down walls. 🙂
it looks so beautiful, open, and airy. Absolutely perfect for entertaining and photography too. I can’t wait to have a dream kitchen one day.
Looking good!! I love an open kitchen! But have never had one…
I’m already looking at C’ville real estate. I found the cutest place with a woodstove in the kitchen… I’ve always wanted that! I soooooo hope we can buy a place next summer!
It’s sooooo gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! I LOVE it.
So lovely. That kitchen has totally transformed your house. Can’t wait to watch it develop more.
xo
I love the ceiling!
Thanks!! We were SO excited about this part because the rest of the ceilings in the house are low and popcorned. It was a bit of $$ and lots of time to do it this way but I love it!
