What happens when a dozen women take to the woods for a gorgeous November weekend?
Happiness ensues.
🙂
And plenty of yoga, hiking, laughing, eating, and drinking.
Don’t forget about cuddling!
About 2 months ago my friend suggested a ladies weekend in the mountains. Â We set the date and the emails started streaming.
Friday night 4 of us gathered at a little rental cabin to share a meal, take a dark (and stumbly!) night hike, and lay under the fall sky watching for falling stars.
Saturday was unseasonably warm and perfect for a big hike.
By Saturday night our group had swelled to over a dozen women.
Sunday brunch was a double-kale-salad, hand-delivered Italian truffle paste, Hombolt Fog cheese, picnic-style affair.
So sad for the weekend to end but it won’t be long before these babes take to the woods again.
What a beautiful area and rustic cabin….looks like a perfect weekend! Those girls only days are definitely needed for the laughter, reconnecting and chatter.
This looks so wonderful – so cozy and full of love! I have given up running in the last month in favor of yoga, on the advice of a wellness coach, and it’s done WONDERS already. I didn’t think that I would be able to handle not “burning calories” running, but I’ve been able to handle it and then some. It’s wonderful. I am so happy that you have friends in your life like that who will take to the woods for yoga! (and wine)
One thing I’ve found over the last year is that the more I exercise the more calories I need. I know it’s old news but if I truly listen to my body I will fuel it appropriately and if I’m not ” burning those calories in the first place than I don’t need to eat them! I love, love, love to move and be active but I’m grateful to also be getting over the ‘must burn calories’ treadmill of my twenties and it sounds like you know what I’m talking about. Enjoy your yoga!
This is so lovely. There’s nothing like a weekend of girls’s time to feel recharged. And what a quaint cabin that is!! 😀
It looks like you had such a wonderful weekend! Good food, good friends, wine, yoga… sounds amazing! And the area you were at looks beautiful.
Looks like a perfect weekend 🙂 The craziness of life takes over and things like a girl’s weekend gets put on the back burner. Looking at your pictures makes me want to put it on the top of my “to do” list. There is something so special about connecting with the women we love in our lives. As always, love your nature photos!
Do it Kathy! Even it’s just a girls night, it will be rejuvenating!
