Happy 1 week 2016!
It’s been a rough start.
New year’s eve was a bit drama filled and odd. The weekend was quiet and uneventful. The week started with driving 5.5 hours to Pennsylvania for my uncle’s funeral, who dropped dead of a heartache at 65 last week. By Wednesday morning my throat was sorer than I’ve ever felt and after teaching 4 classes back to back yesterday I could barely speak and everything ached. Hello January! Suffice to say 1) my resolutions don’t include complaining less 😉 2) I’m feeling less than enthusiastic, fresh, and thrilled going into this coming year, more “meh” than “yeah!”.
Enough of that.
My non-resolutions!
In 2016 will
-
write more “thank you” notes
-
write a lot in general
-
submit at least 5 articles/posts for publication
-
procrastinate less (repeat from last year, not because it didn’t work but because it did! There’s still room for
improvementgrowth though) -
chose the path of least regret more often than not (a whole post on this coming soon)
-
become (even) better at putting my stress relieving tactics into action
-
get better at keeping track of all my passwords (nothing frustrates me and makes me feel like more of a spaz than having to change my password every time I want to log in somewhere!)
-
never hesitate to complement someone when they catch my eye, impress me, or otherwise make me think something nice about them
Past non-resolutions
Do you make resolutions (or non-resolutions)? Anything you want to share?
Happiest new year’s wishes to you and yours!!
I’m so glad you’re writing again, but so sorry you’re not feeling well. Condolences to you and your family on the loss of your uncle.
I’m so sorry to hear of your uncle’s passing.
I’m glad to see you’re writing again.
You are not alone with having to reset passwords every time you log in to an account! I struggle with this, too.
The path of least regret–I’m eager to read about what that means.
