HAWMC Wrap Up
On April 1st I announced that I was going to participate in WEGO Health’s Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge.
The challenge was to write health-focused posts throughout the month of April and was open to anyone who wanted to participate (no compensation or incentives were offered or accepted).
I was excited to join in the writing fun and get some outside inspiration for post topics (WEGO provided prompts for each post).
In case you missed ’em, here are my posts from the challenge.
What to you see as the future of health?
Quote inspiration; find a quote that inspires you and write about it.
If you were a superhero, what would your power be?
What would you like to tell your 16 year old self?
Write about fears that you have overcome in your life.
Post your schedule for the day.
Make a list of 10 items you wouldn’t want to live without.
Make a health focus board on Pinterest.
Open a book, read a passage, write a post.
Write about 5 small challenges and how you overcame them.
The challenge was to write 28 posts over 30 days.
I wrote 12.
Fail?
Nah. My glass is usually half full (except for when it’s empty).
I had a good time with this project and I was definitely challenged as a writer, as a blogger, and as a health activist.
I was also reminded that follow-through is not my strong suit. Something to work on…
